Sound View is a waterfront hotel located on the North Fork of Long Island in Greenport, NY That is owned by Eagle Point Hotel Partners and operated by Filament Hospitality. Situated on a quarter-mile of private beach on the Long Island Sound since 1953, the newly renovated property designed by Brooklyn-based firm Studio Tack (Casay Bonay, Brentwood, Anvil) is reminiscent of the golden era of motels, with touches of New England modernism and nautical undertones that nod to the town’s fishing and boating history. The property includes 55 guest rooms, various waterfront dining and drinking venues, an outdoor pool and private beach, recreation and wellness facilities, and versatile event spaces with sweeping ocean views.

Upon entry to the hotel is a welcoming lobby lounge, an open-aired, communal space with picturesque views of the Long Island Sound. Each of the Sound View’s newly designed guest rooms spill out onto a boardwalk-style or private deck and feature custom beach loungers that overlook the hotel’s private beach. Influenced by the classic modernist beachside homes of the East Coast, the pared-down design displays a palette of rich cedar wood, natural materials and durable textiles like sail cloth, hand-woven float rope rugs and custom color- blocked Quiet Town Home bedspreads.
