Appreciation towards Brooke Holm for providing the following description:
Brooke Holm
As an Australian based photographer whose work traverses dramatic landscapes, conceptual still life, considered interiors and architecture, Brooke Holm is always willing to go to the most remote spots on the earth for her projects. By taking aerial shots of the salt fields in Shark Bay, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Western Australia, for her latest series, Brooke Holm is always fascinated with nature, and interested in capturing how humanity take effect on nature.
“The site is a world renowned area of natural beauty and biological diversity,” mentions Brooke. “The salt fields demonstrate an intensely industrial operation co-existing alongside the natural environment, and is a prime example of nature and humans interacting and intertwining.”
This new series Salt and Sky will be showing at Modern Times in Melbourne until July 7th.
