疫情背景下让一切工作变的迟缓和受限，我们对材料的关注也聚焦于身边唾手可得的日常现成品。我们知道，很多设计师对塑料水瓶再利用有着各种不同角度的探索。受到英国设计师Micaella Pedros的启发，我们展开对使用过的塑料瓶的热缩研究。我们发现，通过热风枪将塑料加温，受热的塑料在收缩的过程中不仅可以产生一种连接的握力，同时还有更多来自塑料瓶自身的特性和美感。希望可以通过尝试，让这些使用过的塑料瓶作为材料，以简洁、有趣和艺术的方式，再次回到日常之中。

During the pandemic, all work has been delayed and limited, so we pay attention to the materials like daily ready-made objects easily available around us. We know that many designers have explored the reuse of plastic water bottles from different angles. Inspired by British designer Micaella Pedros, we have carried out a study on the thermal shrinkage of used plastic bottles. By heating the plastic with a heat gun, the plastic shrinks, and the shrinking process can create not only a grip force with a connection but also more characteristics and beauty of plastic bottles.We hope that the attempt to apply the used plastic bottles as materials could bring them back to our daily life in a simple, interesting and artistic way.

瓶光01
PINGGUANG Lamp 01

将塑料瓶经过剪裁、热缩塑形后嵌入光源，再与底座相连，一只普通塑料瓶在空间中展开，成为一件轻盈透明的艺术装置，一盏创造氛围的灯。雕塑般的形体，消解了塑料瓶原本的特征，让视觉重点转向透明本身。

After the plastic bottle is cut and heat shrunk, the light is embedded into it and then connect the plastic bottle with the base. An ordinary plastic bottle finally displays itself in the space and becomes a light and transparent art ornament, an atmospheric lamp. The sculptural form has made the original features of the plastic bottle disappear and turned the visual focus to transparency.

灯头利用塑料瓶底部自身的凹凸结构，通过热缩工艺将其与光源固定，投射出美妙的光晕。瓶身裁切后展开成为带状，在受热后自然卷成管状，成为灯线的收纳空间和支撑结构。灯线在透明的瓶体中兜转延申，突出了悬浮感和透明的体量。利用瓶口和瓶盖的螺纹结构，与底座固定。瓶底部的出厂日期和批次标号也成为再生灯具独有的名称编号。

Through using the concave and convex structure of the plastic bottle bottom and heat shrinkage, the lamp top is fixed with the light and casts a beautiful halo. The bottle body is cut and unfolded into a strip, and it rolls into a tube after heated, becoming the space where the lamp cord is tucked in and its structural support. The lamp cord winds and extends in the transparent bottle, highlighting the suspension sense and transparent volume, and it is fixed with the base with the help of the threaded structure of the bottle top and the cap. The release date and batch number on the bottle bottom then become the unique name and number of the “reborn” lamps.

瓶光S&L
PINGGUANG Lamp S&L

塑料瓶底部结构类型多样，利用底部作为灯罩，以轻巧的支架系统，构建出灯具极简外形。灯罩通过热缩与支架固定，其凹凸变形的手工痕迹让塑料的透明性增加了细节，与支架黑色的线性结构形成对比。灯光亮起时，复杂的光晕与简洁的形体形成有趣的对话。

There are various bottom structures of the plastic bottles. As the lampshade the bottle bottom and the light support system build a minimalist lamp appearance. The lampshade is fixed to the support through heat shrinkage, and the manual traces of concave and convex deformation add details to the transparent plastic, contrasting with the black linear structure of the support. When the lights are on, an interesting “conversation” between the complex halo and the simple form begins.

木炭扩香器
Aroma Charcoal Diffuser

木炭可以有效的吸收精油并缓慢释放。利用这一特性，将其通过塑料瓶热缩的握力固定于顶部，另一端与容器盖子相连接，构成一件小小的雕塑装置，一个兼具收纳精油功能的扩香器物。透明的塑料把木炭与底座分离，像一块悬浮的黑色陨石，也是打开罐子的手柄。

Charcoal can effectively absorb essential oil and slowly release it. With this feature, charcoal can form a small sculpture device, an aroma diffuser with the function of holding essential oil, by being fixed to the top by the grip force from heat shrunk plastic bottles and its other end being connected to the lid of the container. The charcoal is separated by the transparent plastic from the base, like a piece of suspended black meteorite, and the plastic part is also the handle to open the container.

水光花器
SHUIGUANG Vase

塑料瓶在受热变形后将水注入，水的折射强化了变形的光影，宛如一块晶莹剔透的玻璃体。利用这个特点，将瓶口设计盖子和连接结构，通过热缩的方式固定，形成一款花器。水与光混合其中，让花器有了新的生命。可开启的设计，方便瓶体内部的清洗。

The plastic bottle is deformed by heat and then inject water into it. The refraction of the water intensifies the light and shadow of deformation, like a piece of crystal clear glass. Using this feature, the bottle cap design and the connection structure are fixed by heat shrinkage to form a vase. A mix of water and light gives the vase a new life and the open design is convenient to clean inside the bottle.

竹节笔筒
ZHUJIE Pen Container

在塑料瓶中按一定间距置入金属环，通过加热瓶体会在这些金属环之间收缩，形成竹节般稳定的结构。设计利用此结构，配合底座构成一个“透明的竹节”笔筒。这些圆环好像分层悬置于空中，而这种透明感让容器内的物品一目了然。

Metal rings are placed at regular intervals in plastic bottles and the bottle part between the metal rings are heated to contract to form a stable structure like bamboo joints. The design uses this structure and with the base it can form a “transparent bamboo” pen container. The rings seem to be suspended in the air in layers, and the transparency makes the contents in the container visible.
