这是一款可以自己DIY并享受创造快乐的灯。这套设计由灯具，两个扁平榉木框，还有一卷彩色胶带组成。

其核心理念是用非常简单的元素吸引和鼓励人们参与创造过程，并制作出属于自己的独一无二的灯，同时在制作过程中产生难忘的记忆。这绝不是徒有光鲜外表的产品。

这样一款用户与设计师角色互换的产品给了消费者决定产品是什么样子的权利。

改设计在10月进行了展览，期间几位嘉宾应邀制作了一盏灯。最后这些灯被挂在一起，每一盏都是主人品位与感觉的唯一表达。这也是个性独特，充满想象力的集合。

LIGHT_NESS explores interchangeable
User / Designer roles

UXUS is proud to introduce LIGHT_NESS, a do-it-yourself lamp concept that invites individuals  to create  their  own  personalized  design.  The  lamp  kit  includes  all the materials needed to produce a customized lamp and contains a flattened wooden  frame available in two sizes, a customizable cord, a light bulb and  a roll of neon  orange  tape  that creates  the “lamp shade”.

Central  to the LIGHT_NESS  concept  is  the creation  of  an  object  from  ver y simple  elements that you make  yourself.  UXUS wanted  to inspire  and  motivate people  to be  more  involved are asked  to engage on a creative level and are invited to make their own unique lamp, simultaneously producing an interactive and  memorable experience- not just a fine and  polished high design product.

Inspiration for LIGHT_NESS was drawn from the UXUS “Not So Fragile” collection, which used  repurposing furniture as  the core design principle. UXUS developed the concept where user/designer roles become  interchangeable; the consumer  dictates  what  the product  should look  like  and  the designer  is  limited to simply providing the material.

LIGHT_NESS   was   first   introduced   during   Dutch  Design   Week(22-30 October) in Eindhoven at the Klokgebouw. Several guests  were invited to make  a lamp before the event, which were showcased during the exhibition.   The lamps are  assembled  by taking the  frames  and  putting  them  together,  attaching  the cord  to the  desired  position  and lastly,  taping  the  frame  with  the  neon  orange tape  provided to create  the “lamp shade”.

Each  lamp  became  an  individual  statement   of  the  owner ’s  taste  and perception  of  what a  hanging  lamp  could  be.  The  result  was  a  whimsical  and highly  individualized  collection of  designs  that  expressed the  maker ’s/owner ’s personality.

Material
Unfinished beech  wood was used  for the frames; the neon orange  tape is regular packing tape.
