俄罗斯圣彼得堡产品设计师Yaroslav Misonzhnikov创作了“卡捷琳娜”女性用品系列，该系列具有强烈的俄罗斯民间元素，但又以现代的世界风格出现，共包含三件单品：一个梳子，一把扇子，一面镜子。

In the end of 2015 Yaroslav Misonzhnikov a designer from Saint-Petersburg took part in an unique project. The aim of the project was reincarnation of folk crafts. 5 Russian designers had started collaboration with 5 Russian manufactories that do the «Khokhloma» painting, «Gzhel» ceramics, «Zhostovo» painted metal and «Vologda» lace, famous from all over the World symbols of Russian Folk Art.

产品主材为实木，扇面别出心裁的采用了蕾丝织面。Yaroslav Misonzhnikov告诉gooood，他在拜访沃洛格达花边工厂时开始了解蕾丝工艺，后来随着对蕾丝的深入了解，他发现古代俄罗斯的皇后曾经用过蕾丝面的织扇，于是他开始创作蕾丝织扇，并选择了能与简约现代风完美结合的传统花纹。最后，这位设计师把这个系列献给了他的奶奶，另外他的奶奶也恰好叫卡捷琳娜，设计师小时候常常看见自己的奶奶在织蕾丝花边。

Yaroslav developed collection of objects for women lives. The name of collection is «Katerina» and it was an folding fan with using of «Vologda» laces, mirror and a comb. To start, he visited the lace manufactory in Vologda and learned the traditional technique of lace making. He read a lot about it and once he found out in a book of Nataliya Abushenko an interesting fact, that in 1883 The Russian Empress Mariya Fedorovna was gifted with an amazingly beautiful folding fan made of lace. Yaroslav started to think about making the thing that is not often used nowadays with an old technique but to give it a modern look. So, he made lace folding fan, mirror and comb.

Lace pattern was based on an existing traditional element. Precise geometry of pattern perfectly combined with a minimalistic form of the fan. By using thread of different thicknesses was achieved the «gradient» effect, which is very popular in graphic and product design.

«My collection was called «Katerina» and dedicated to my granny (her name was Katerina Ivanovna), who lived in Vologda. When I was a little boy she used to tell me stories about her home there, a big Russian «izba», and about her mum, who was always making a lace» – telling designer Yaroslav Misonzhnikov.
