Appreciations towards LUDE Design for providing the following description:

江南城市之中，杭州无疑是一个让人一见倾心的城市；确实，这是苏堤春晓的城市，也是支付宝的城市，美景与人文交融，文化与智能结合。江南故事坐落于此，设计者充分考量了千年传承的江南文化符号与长三角地区日新月异的现代化发展进程，将厚重绵长的历史感与视觉冲击力糅合在了一起。

Among the cities in Jiangnan (the south of the Yangtze River in China), Hangzhou is undoubtedly a city that can impress people at first sight. This city is famous for the scenic spot of Spring Dawn at Su Causeway, and it is also  a city of Alipay, where the scenery integrates into humanities and the culture combines with intelligence. Located in this city, the project mixed the long history and visual impact after the designers fully considered the Jiangnan cultural symbols and the rapid development of the Yangtze River Delta area.

进入大厅，顶部的镜面不锈钢抽象的云朵造型首先映入眼帘，其最重要的功能就是将室内周围环境的影像反射上去，使得整个空间更为丰富。

In the lobby, a mirrored stainless steel in the shape of abstract cloud comes into view on the ceiling, which can reflect the image of the indoor environment, enriching the whole space.

考究的细部还有不少——设计师在大厅设置了巨幕投影，好像打开了一扇窗，将现代科技手段与古典东方园林传统的借景技法结合，整个空间便灵动起来，不再沉闷；水池中是一个电子火炉，与镜面水池形成了水火既济的视觉冲击力，夺人眼球，又意味深长；镜面水池与底下实体水池形成有意味的落差感，空间磅礡张力油然而生，而流水的哗哗声会很快将客群带入江南水乡的意境。

There are also plenty of exquisite details. A giant screen projection is set up in the lobby, as if opening a window, combining modern technology methods with the traditional techniques of classical oriental gardens, thus the whole space become vivid and flexible. The electronic stove in the pool forms a visual impact of water and fire with the mirror pool, which is eye-catching and meaningful. The mirror pool and the actual pool at bottom form a sense of drop, bringing a sense of tension, while the gurgle of flowing water will soon bring the customers into the artistic conception of Jiangnan riverside town.

属于江南的中式元素在本案中也异常多元而丰富，让空间属性的定义具体而微又源远流长——水池上面的这一对石雕叫做门当户对，这其实就是象征房主身份、地位和房屋等级的古建筑构件抱鼓石，用在此处，既古朴典雅，也呈现出江南人家富贵风流底蕴；垂花柱是传统木建筑榫卯结构中古早味与装饰感并存的老物件，在现代感的整体风格中毫不违和，体现出历史沉淀与视觉魅惑并存的效果。

The oriental design elements of Jiangnan are also widely applied in the project, so that the spatial attribute is specific and long-lasting. The pair of drum-shaped bearing stone carvings on the pool is called perfect match, which symbolizes the owner’s identity and status. Simple and elegant, this ancient building element presents the wealth and beauty of people in Jiangnan. Another ancient wood structure element is Chui Hua Zhu, which is a hanging column with flower carved at the bottom, reflecting the mix effect of historical precipitation and visual charm.

铁板雕刻灯箱表面铁雕图样是波光粼粼的水的图案，上面的电子屏是一个独出机杼的创新，一旦开启，“江南可采莲，莲叶何田田”的江南美景就不期而至，创意想象力与工匠精神在此衔接，虚实掩映之中，让人心醉神迷。

The iron carving lamphouse has sparkling water ripple pattern engraved on the surface. And the electronic screen is a unique innovation. Once switched on, the attractive lotus pond scenery comes out. The creative imagination and the craftsman spirit are connected here, where the match between the virtual and actual is so fascinating.

本案除了让客群一进入就有惊艳的感觉，更多的是让其能够沉浸其间，自发自愿地多盘桓停留并消费，因此，点线面渐变的灯光如吉光片羽，给空间平添意想不到的柔软与温暖，在平淡简约的造型中营造出层层递进、渐入佳境的仪式感，创造感官身心在技师轻重节奏的手法之外另样的触感与享受，无不得到洗涤与安妥。

In addition to creating an amazing visual effect, the project emphasizes the immersed experience of visitors, making them stay here spontaneously and voluntarily. The light is gradually varied from point and line to plane, adding unexpected softness and warmth to the space. The simple and concise space brings a gradual sensation of ritual, creating an enjoyment of body and mind in addition to the strength and rhythm of technician’s massage technique, thus achieving purification both physically and mentally.

江南故事是青花瓷，也是紫砂壶；江南故事是绍兴酒，也是龙井茶。总之，江南故事是现代前卫的主题风格与江南好风景旧曾谙的诸多人文元素的结合，本案的特殊性与出彩之处也正是在这里。

The Jiangnan Story is blue-and-white porcelain, sand-fired pot, Shaoxing wine, and also Longjing tea. In short, the Jiangnan Story is a combination of the modern avant-garde theme and the diversehumanistic elements of Jiangnan, which is the uniqueness and feature of this project.
