“汪房&喵房”是度态制造发起的公益性项目，旨在为流浪小动物提供户外过冬住宅。“汪房&喵房”分为两种基本类型：组装版和保温版房屋。

这两种款型又各自有为猫设计的小户型“喵房”，和为狗设计的大户型“汪房”。在这一系列产品之外，“汪房&喵房”本质上是一套开源的设计方案。我们希望宣传智识共享的精神，发动身边的每个人自己动手、制作、体验、贡献，为城市里的流浪小动物过冬提供帮助。

“Woof & Meow House” is a project initiated to provide winter shelter for stray dogs and cats. It is an open-source project which seeks to promote knowledge sharing and encourage people to care, make, and give for stray animals in need.

组装版房屋采用18mm胶合板为底板，直接拼装。保温版房屋在组装版的底板上附加了喷涂发泡聚氨酯（SPF）保温层。保温层采用棉布做外模板，棉布的弹性帮助SPF在氧化膨胀过程中获得自然的鼓包形态。

度态制造把设计图纸和制作过程开源公布在网上，鼓励更多的人下载设计说明，亲手制作。“汪房&喵房”的底板全部采用木板或胶合板CNC切割，保温层采用房屋最常用的填缝剂，保温层模板采用普通白布。组装过程中只需要极少量的日常工具，最大程度的方便用户加工组装。

度态制造同时在众筹网站点名时间上发起了“汪房&喵房”项目，为不具备制作条件的用户直接提供半成品和成品。

“Woof & Meow House” offers several different types of shelter which vary in forms and sizes: the basic model is made of 18mm plywood, and the insulated model uses the basic model as structure and is covered with a layer of  bulbous foam.

The insulation layer is made with spray polyurethane foam (SPF), which dot Architects, the designer, had played with in their previous mobile house project “Bao House” .

The instruction manual and making process will be published online. Anyone who has an interest to make and a wish to care is encouraged to download the drawings and fabricate a “Woof & Meow House” of his or her own version. Only minimum tools and materials are required, and CNC-cut plywood facilitates making process for users who are less skillful in wood working.
