Sergey Makhno创作的器皿使用到了大家都很熟悉的混凝土和玻璃瓶。混凝土被制成规整的方体，上面被开了许多几何形体的洞，放进玻璃瓶，整个造型人工，轻盈，城市化。这些混凝土块将就像是
城市中建设用到的材料，上面盛放的植物就像是人造的城市与其中生活的植物的关系。混凝土的粗糙，花朵的娇嫩，形成鲜活的对比。

Sergey Makhno has created a series of vases called The Invariants using materials,familiar to us from childhood, such as concrete and a three-liter jar. The title of theseries originates from exact mathematical sciences and means property of the object toremain unvarying upon transformations. Likewise, in our series the form varies butmaterials remain. Various geometrical forms form basis of the images – they are asquare, a rectangle, a circle…, reminding us of urban multistoried buildings, officecenters and dormitory areas. Vases, like bricks of a construction kit, are highlyurbanized and reflect a modern city, where lone trees against the background of‘asphalt jungle’ and paved streets look as fresh and contrasting as delicate flowerbuds against the background of rough concrete. These vases are perfect accessories forthe up-to-date minimalist interior and for connoisseurs of simple forms and contrastsolutions.
