Appreciation towards RONG design for providing the following description:

我们提出一个有趣的问题，为什么所有伞在打开时，完整的伞面上都会垂下一条非常突兀的线段，尽管清楚它具有收取伞的功能，但其违和的形态与完整的伞形始终格格不入。

Have you had this question, why do umbrellas have that stripe fell off the side when you open it? Of course we understand the purpose is to hold the umbrella together when it’s not needed, but can it be better?

设计的灵感来源于生活中美好时光的联想，站在雨天撑起的雨伞下，看着雨水顺着伞檐落下，想到小时候坐在板凳上发呆，看着雨水沿着屋檐像串珠一般落下的情景，传统的房子屋檐下都会挂着晴天宝宝，有着祈福晴朗和平安的寓意，这样美好的联想给原本日常的产品赋予了特殊的情感，而晴天宝宝的设计打破了传统伞扣的定式，让雨伞有了全新的情感联系，同时也创造了独一无二的品牌符号。

By associating cherishable moments in life, is how we got our inspiration for this design. Imagine it, with the greyness of the sky above, the rain falling incessantly, hitting on your umbrella, dripping down from the sides like beads connected with an invisible string. Does this reminds you of the old days? When you were young, and have all the time in the world to sit by the window to watch the rain fall. Raindoll is a traditional handmade doll that farmers hang outside of their window by a string, wishing for sunny weather, peace and prosperity. We took those delicate sentiments, applied to the design. By making the umbrella strip like a raindoll, not only it became a memorable symbol for this brand, it also created a new level of intimacy between the product and the people.

整体的设计风格遵循了当代东方美学，意在呼应并强化产品具有的传统文化价值，通过极简的设计表达，从手柄，挂扣，包装和收纳等各个分支将产品的结构，功能和内涵完美融合。

We followed the traditional oriental aesthetics, meant to speak the cultural value of this product by applying this simple yet poetic aesthetic onto every detail of this product, such as handle bar, buckle, packaging and the way for storage. No need to add any extra decorations, the entire packaging speak its message through the simplest design.
