项目坐落于阿坝藏族羌族自治州九寨沟县漳扎镇中查沟中查村，是一片仍然保持自然原生秩序的藏地山谷。自然在这里并非作为背景存在，而是一种持续发生的生命状态。中查沟更像真正的藏地生活场景：人与山川相伴，与四季共生，与土地保持着一种朴素而深刻的联系，人与自然关系更真实。

The project is located in Zhongcha Village, Zhongcha Gorge, Zhangza Town, Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture—a Tibetan valley that still retains its natural, pristine order. Here, nature does not merely serve as a backdrop, but is a living, ever-evolving state of being. Zhongcha Gorge embodies the true essence of Tibetan life: people live in harmony with the mountains and rivers, coexist with the changing seasons, and maintain a simple yet profound connection with the land, fostering a more authentic relationship between humanity and nature.

我们认为真正高级的度假酒店，不是“看风景”，而是“成为风景的一部分”。设计师需要做的，不是创造一个凌驾于自然之上的作品，而是在天地之间，寻找一个恰到好处的停顿。

We believe that a truly sophisticated resort hotel is not about “viewing the scenery,” but about “becoming part of the scenery.” What designers need to do is not to create a structure that towers over nature, but to find just the right balance between heaven and earth.

Design Draft

我们认为设计的本质，不是创造一个对象，而是创造人与世界发生关系的场所。所以针对该项目，我们强调回应自然、植物与材料本身的秩序。真正的野奢酒店，从来不是把昂贵的材料堆叠在荒野之中。它更像是一场“消隐”的艺术，成为自然的倾听者。

We believe that the essence of design lies not in creating an object, but in creating a space where people can connect with the world. Therefore, for this project, we emphasize responding to the order of nature, plants, and the materials themselves. A true “wild luxury” hotel is never simply a pile of expensive materials set in the wilderness. Rather, it is an art of “disappearing”—becoming a listener to nature.

入口并不仅是一处空间节点，而是一场关于时间、情绪与场所的转换。路径、光影、植物与石材，共同构成一段由外向内的空间叙事。我们不是告诉客人“你已经到了”。而是让人在不知不觉中，与自然建立新的关系。

The entrance is not merely a spatial node, but a transition involving time, emotion, and place. Pathways, light and shadow, plants, and stone collectively form a spatial narrative that unfolds from the exterior to the interior. We do not simply tell guests, “You have arrived.” Instead, we allow them to unconsciously forge a new connection with nature.

From arrival to integration, from observing nature to becoming part of it. Plants should not merely be meticulously pruned decorations, but rather an expression of the site’s vitality. We do not seek chaos or wildness; rather, by respecting the laws of natural growth, we allow plants to manifest a state that is authentic, free, and imbued with a sense of time.

Our goal is not to offer more features, but to create an environment where people want to linger. In nature, space should respond to human perception. It is more like a process of reconnecting people with nature. Design does not generate excessive activity, but rather creates places where quiet moments unfold. These brief pauses transform time from a rapid passage into a slow, mindful experience.

Analyzing the textures of nature is both innovative and timeless. Walking is not merely a mode of transportation, but a process through which people forge a connection with nature. A true nature retreat experience requires walking at a leisurely pace, allowing the body to reconnect with the land, time, and the environment. A path is not merely a line connecting spaces, but a continuous, unfolding experience.

这是从抵达到沉浸的序章，从落客区进入酒店大堂，并不是一次简单的空间移动，而是一场由外部自然进入内部精神世界的转换。它不是明确的界限，而是一段连续的叙事：由开放走向围合，由明亮走向幽静，由自然景观走向精神停留。

This is the prologue to the journey from arrival to immersion. The transition from the drop-off area to the lobby is not merely a physical movement through space, but a transformation from the natural world outside to the spiritual realm within. It is not a clear-cut boundary, but rather a continuous narrative: from openness to enclosure, from brightness to tranquility, and from natural scenery to a place of spiritual reflection.

The courtyard behind the main hall serves as the most important spiritual transition. It requires no elaborate landscaping; instead, it creates a quiet and profound experience through plants, rocks, a white pagoda, light, and negative space. We believe that tranquility is the most important element in this space—letting time do its work and allowing the details to speak silently. We transform emptiness into abundance and negative space into profound meaning.

The value of a space lies not merely in its functional capacity, but in how it guides shifts in people’s emotions. We do not seek to establish clear boundaries, but rather to create subtle transitions between different states. Recess does more than simply accommodate the human body; it creates an emotional connection between people and their environment. It is no longer merely a functional node, but rather transforms people’s posture and perception.

泳池成为自然与人的交汇界面，让人在水的静谧中重新感知环境。它顺应地形展开，借用自然视野延伸，融入森林、雪山与天空。泳池不是将奢华置于荒野之中，而是让自然成为最大的奢华。通过克制的介入，让建筑融入山谷，让材料回应土地，让空间随着自然共同生长。最终，酒店不再是被观看的对象，而成为风景本身的一部分。在这里，奢华不来自对自然的占有，而来自与自然建立关系的能力。

The pool serves as an interface where nature and humanity converge, allowing people to reconnect with their surroundings amid the tranquility of the water. It unfolds in harmony with the terrain, drawing on the natural vistas to extend its horizons, and blends seamlessly into the forest, snow-capped mountains, and sky. Rather than placing luxury in the wilderness, the pool makes nature itself the greatest luxury. Through restrained intervention, the architecture blends into the valley, the materials respond to the land, and the spaces grow in harmony with nature. Ultimately, the hotel is no longer an object to be viewed, but becomes part of the landscape itself. Here, luxury does not stem from the appropriation of nature, but from the ability to forge a relationship with it.

场地背景
Site background

不同于被人工定义的旅游景观，中查沟保留着人与自然长期共生的生活状态。藏族村落依山而生，溪流沿地势流动，植物随环境自由生长，人与土地之间形成了一种朴素而深刻的联系。随着G8513九寨沟至绵阳高速公路全线通车，九寨沟迎来了新的连接方式。

Unlike man-made tourist attractions, Zhongchagou preserves a way of life characterized by the long-standing symbiosis between people and nature. Tibetan villages nestle against the mountainsides, streams flow naturally along the terrain, and plants grow freely in their natural habitats, creating a simple yet profound connection between people and the land. With the full opening of the G8513 Jiuzhaigou–Mianyang Expressway, Jiuzhaigou now has a new transportation link.

中查村最动人的地方，并非某一个壮丽的景观瞬间，而是这些平凡而真实的日常：老人坐在院落中晒太阳，这里没有刻意营造的诗意。马场与草甸构成了山谷中最具生命力的空间。雪山赋予中查沟一种独特的空间秩序。自然以缓慢的方式塑造空间，也赋予人内心的宁静。

What is most touching about Zhongcha Village is not any single spectacular scenic moment, but rather these ordinary and authentic everyday scenes: elderly villagers sitting in their courtyards soaking up the sun—there is no contrived sense of poetry here.The horse pastures and meadows form the most vibrant spaces in the valley. The snow-capped mountains endow Zhongchagou with a unique spatial order. Nature shapes space gradually, bestowing inner peace upon people.

施工现场
Construction

我们非常享受这个过程，为此忍不住提炼成一个专篇。施工现场成为设计理念逐渐显现的过程，处于从自然构想走向空间现实的转化阶段。粗粝的石材、自然肌理的木材、裸露的结构节点，在建造过程中保留材料本身的真实性。我们不追求瞬间完成的视觉效果，而期待随着时间、气候与使用逐渐形成属于场地的痕迹。

We thoroughly enjoyed this process and couldn’t resist dedicating an entire article to it. The construction site becomes a place where the design concept gradually takes shape, marking the transition from a natural vision to a tangible spatial reality. Rough-hewn stone, wood with its natural grain, and exposed structural joints all preserve the authenticity of the materials throughout the construction process. We do not seek an instant visual effect, but rather look forward to the traces unique to this site gradually emerging over time, through the elements, and through use.

不同于传统建筑对场地的快速占据，项目更关注与山谷环境之间的平衡。施工过程不是对土地的征服，而是在既有地形、植被与生态关系中寻找一种克制的介入方式。山体、森林、溪流与建筑共同构成现场的复杂关系。

Unlike traditional architecture, which tends to rapidly occupy a site, this project focuses on achieving a balance with the valley environment. The construction process is not about conquering the land, but rather about finding a restrained approach to intervention within the existing topography, vegetation, and ecological relationships. The mountains, forests, streams, and buildings together form a complex interplay on the site.

每一次土方调整、材料选择与构造实施，都需要回应场地本身的尺度与节奏。中查沟的建造，更像是一场“消隐”的过程。让人工建造与自然共同完成一场关于时间的表达。当所有的细节都准备妥当，植物、灯光、软装一一就绪，想到“可以把客人请到这个空间来了”的那一瞬间，会情绪高涨、让人感动。

Every adjustment to earthwork, choice of materials, and construction method must respond to the site’s own scale and rhythm.The construction of Zhongchagou is more like a process of “disappearance”—allowing human craftsmanship and nature to jointly create an expression of time. When all the details are in place—the plants, lighting, and soft furnishings are all set—the moment you realize, “We can finally invite guests into this space,” you’ll feel a surge of excitement and be deeply moved.

At the construction site, native vegetation serves as a vital link between the architecture and the valley. The trees, meadows, and natural vegetation here are not artificially created landscape elements, but rather the ecological memory formed by the land’s long-term growth. Plants express themselves over time. As the project progresses, the plants begin to infuse the space with a genuine sense of life.

随着设计逐渐呈现，开始展现出设计与自然共生的状态。每一种材料与细节，都在回应这片藏地山谷独特的环境语言。我们试图探索一种更为谦逊的人与自然关系，最终希望成为一处安静的停顿。

当地民居并非被放置于自然之中，而是在漫长的时间里与山谷共同生长。在中查村，自然不是建筑之外的环境，而是生活本身的一部分。马匹在草甸间缓慢觅食，成为度假酒店中最自然的一部分。这里没有被刻意营造的景观表演，只有土地原本的生活状态。草甸随着季节变化生长，溪流沿山谷流淌，马儿低头觅食，与森林、雪山和村落共同构成一幅真实的藏地日常。中查沟的原生乔木，是一种无需修饰的自然表达。它比新植景观更具价值，因为它拥有无法复制的时间。

The local dwellings are not simply set within nature; rather, they have evolved alongside the valley over the course of time. In Zhongcha Village, nature is not merely the environment surrounding the buildings, but an integral part of daily life itself. Horses graze leisurely among the meadows, blending seamlessly into the natural landscape of the resort. There are no contrived scenic displays here—only the land in its natural state. The meadows grow and change with the seasons, streams flow through the valley, and horses graze with their heads bowed, coming together with the forest, snow-capped mountains, and villages to paint a vivid picture of everyday life in Tibet. It is more valuable than a newly planted landscape because it possesses a history that cannot be replicated.

软装成为人与空间建立情感连接的媒介。家具、织物、器物与灯光共同构成停留的场景，让空间从“被观看的风景”转变为“可以被使用和感知的生活场所”。设计并不追求过度精致的视觉表达，而是关注人与环境之间的舒适关系。

Interior decor serves as a medium for establishing an emotional connection between people and space. Furniture, textiles, objects, and lighting collectively create a setting where people linger, transforming the space from a “scene to be viewed” into a “living space that can be used and experienced.” The design does not seek an overly refined visual expression, but rather focuses on fostering a comfortable relationship between people and their environment.

设计从场地原有的植物状态出发。保留原生乔木的生长轨迹，延续草甸的开放尺度，借助灌木与地被形成自然过渡，让建筑隐藏于植物之间，而非占据自然。设计不是创造自然，而是与自然合作。植物不是建筑完成后的绿化填充，而是参与建筑生成的力量。自然成为建筑的一部分，建筑也成为自然秩序中的一个片段。

The design takes its cue from the site’s existing vegetation. It preserves the natural growth patterns of the native trees, maintains the open scale of the meadow, and uses shrubs and groundcover to create a natural transition, allowing the building to blend into the vegetation rather than dominate the natural environment. Design is not about recreating nature, but about collaborating with it. Plants are not merely greenery used to fill in spaces after a building is completed; rather, they are a force that participates in the building’s creation. Nature becomes part of the architecture, and the architecture, in turn, becomes a fragment of the natural order.

设计将观看电影这一城市化体验，重新置于山谷、森林与星空之中。夜幕降临后，银幕成为连接人与自然的媒介，而周围的雪山、树林与天空，则成为无法复制的背景。面对雪山、森林与藏地山谷的自然环境，木质材料以其天然的纹理、温润的触感与时间留下的痕迹，回应着场地本身的气质。它不像石材那样强调重量，也不像金属那样表达距离，而是在建筑与人的感知之间建立一种柔和的联系。

The design reimagines the urban experience of watching a movie, setting it once again amidst valleys, forests, and the starry sky. As night falls, the screen becomes a bridge connecting people with nature, while the surrounding snow-capped mountains, forests, and sky provide a backdrop that cannot be replicated.Set against the natural landscape of snow-capped mountains, forests, and Tibetan valleys, the wooden materials—with their natural grain, warm texture, and the marks left by time—echo the character of the site itself. It does not emphasize weight like stone, nor does it convey a sense of distance like metal; rather, it establishes a gentle connection between architecture and human perception.

木材的价值，在于它拥有时间。随着季节变化，随着光线移动，随着使用留下痕迹，材料逐渐形成属于空间的记忆。石材并非一种被选择的装饰材料，而是建筑回应土地的一种方式。源于自然的石材，以其沉静的重量、粗粝的肌理和未经修饰的质感，与雪山、岩石、森林共同构成这片藏地山谷的视觉语言。

The value of wood lies in the passage of time. As the seasons change, as light shifts, and as traces of use accumulate, the material gradually forms memories unique to that space. Stone is not merely a decorative material chosen for its own sake, but rather a way for architecture to respond to the land. Derived from nature, stone—with its serene weight, rugged texture, and unadorned quality—joins snow-capped mountains, rocks, and forests to form the visual language of this Tibetan valley.

设计回应场地原有的尺度与秩序。泳池顺应地形展开，边界被弱化，视线向山谷延伸。设计通过地形的微微下沉，让人的身体重新接近土地。空间不再以建筑边界划分，而是在山谷、草甸与森林之间形成一种自然的停留场景。

The design responds to the site’s original scale and order. The pool unfolds in harmony with the topography, its boundaries softened, allowing the view to extend toward the valley. Through a gentle dip in the terrain, the design brings the human body back into closer contact with the earth. The space is no longer defined by architectural boundaries but instead forms a natural setting for rest amid the valley, meadows, and forest.

位于九寨沟中查沟中查村的野奢酒店景观设计，是我们团队的第一个落地项目。我们试图探索一种更为克制的自然介入方式。面对雪山、森林、草甸、溪流与藏地村落共同构成的原生环境，景观并非创造一个新的自然，而是回应这片土地已经存在的生命秩序。设计从场地本身出发，尊重地形的起伏，保留原生植物的生长状态，延续山谷的生态关系，让建筑、植物、水体与人的活动在自然尺度中重新建立联系。中查沟的景观设计更关注时间的力量。植物会生长，材料会变化，空间会随着季节产生新的表情。设计不是完成一个固定的作品，而是创造一个可以持续发生的自然场所。

The landscape design for the luxury wilderness resort in Zhongcha Village, Zhongcha Gorge, Jiuzhaigou, was our team’s first completed project. We sought to explore a more restrained approach to engaging with nature. Faced with a pristine environment composed of snow-capped mountains, forests, meadows, streams, and Tibetan villages, the landscape design does not aim to create a new nature, but rather to respond to the existing order of life on this land. The design takes its cue from the site itself, respecting the undulating topography, preserving the natural growth patterns of native vegetation, and sustaining the ecological relationships within the valley—all to reestablish connections between architecture, plants, water features, and human activities on a natural scale. The landscape design for Zhongchagou places particular emphasis on the power of time. Plants will grow, materials will change, and the space will take on new expressions with the changing seasons. The design is not about creating a static work of art, but rather about crafting a natural place where life can continue to unfold.
