设计工作室Ximi Li Design、家具品牌URBANCRAFT创始人李希米发布了Monochrome。Monochrome意为“单色”，是家具设计品牌URBANCRAFT于2021年推出的独立分支。作为品牌着眼于未来的全新系列，我们从材料出发，以实践的开放视角引发创作动机。Monochrome旨在发掘材料工艺的不确定性，突破既定的设计逻辑，以探索者的态度呈现工艺与设计的融合表达。

Ximi Li of design studio Ximi Li Design and design-led brand URBANCRAFT, has launched Monochrome, the diffusion line of URBANCRAFT. Monochrome is the new collection with an eye towards the future, Ximi Li begins with materials and drives creative works through hands-on approaches with an open mind. By exploring the uncertainty of materials and processes, monochrome seeks to deviate from the established design logic and present a fusion of craft and design as an explorer.

铝是一种轻且具有延展性的材料，每次挤压或折弯都会呈现不同的形态。我们期望在保持设计工艺及语言一致性的同时，保留它介于人工与工业化生产之间的状态。同时，我们保留了铝焊接疤痕的自然形态，这也成为贯穿一整个系列的独特标签。

Aluminum is a ductile material that takes on a different form each time it is extruded or bent. We want to preserve its state between manual and industrial production while maintaining consistency in design process and expression. Meanwhile, we retain the natural form of welding scars, which has become a unique label throughout the series.

Monochrome第一个系列Basic，包括吧桌、吧椅、餐桌、椅子等单品。我们有意令Basic系列的造型更基础、更具备包容性，可以很好地融入商业空间及户外空间。Monochrome具备先锋的工艺和形式，因此融合在日常生活当中，实现自身的延展性。

Monochrome’s first collection, Basic, consists of bar table, dining table, chairs and other pieces. The Basic series was created with a more straightforward, accessible form that works well in both indoor and outdoor settings. With its avant-garde application of technique, Monochrome is able to ingratiate itself into everyday life and attain its own extensibility.
