这是建筑师Daniel Widrig和荷兰时装设计师Iris van Herpen合作的项目:Escapism,有史以来第一个三维打印的时装系列。项目始于在2010年的阿姆斯特丹时装周亮相的 Crystallization。而Escapism,是今年早些时候的巴黎时装周上璀璨亮相。


Escapism力求探讨先进的数字化设计及电脑辅助制造在高级时装领域的可能性及潜力。为了让Escapism穿戴起来更舒适,此项目拓展了三维打印的极限。服装由非常纤细的集群纤维构成,这使得其轻盈,灵活,还能经济生产。如果没有穿着度要求以及模特走猫步的因素限制,其几何形体上的理念可以使设计师们创造出更大的物件。


Escapism is a continuation of the collaboration between London based architect Daniel Widrig and dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen . The project started with Crystallization, the first fashion collection ever featuring 3d printed dresses.
Crystallization was launched at the Amsterdam Fashion Week in 2010.Escapism attempted to further investigate possibilities and potentiality of advanced digital design techniques and computer aided manufacturing in the realm of haute couture fashion design.
Based on earlier experiences made with digitally manufactured dresses,

Escapism pushes the limits of 3D printing in order to increase the wearability of the pieces. The dresses are composed of clusters of fiber-like elements with minimized diameters. The fineness of the printed lines of the fabric makes the overall objects lightweight, flexible and allows for an economic production. The geometric concept further allowed the designers to create larger objects without comprimising wearability and the model’s mobility on the catwalk.
The collection was produced in collaboration with New York based label .MGX by Materialise via selective laser sintering (SLS) in Polyamide. Escapism was first presented at the Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
