CONTEXT AND HERITAGE SIGNIFICANCE
基日岛坐落于卡累利阿共和国的奥涅加湖上，岛上的基日教堂墓园（Kizhi Pogost）是传统原木与木构建筑的世界级杰作，并于1990年被列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产名录。这组18世纪建筑群因其独特性而备受赞誉：它是俄罗斯现存唯一一处由两座多穹顶木教堂共同围合于同一院落中的历史建筑群，其中包括拥有22个穹顶的显圣容教堂（Church of the Transfiguration，1714年），建筑高37米，其原木结构节点完全不用钉子连接；拥有9个穹顶的圣母代祷教堂（Church of the Intercession）；以及一座八角形木制钟楼。除核心教堂墓园外，周边的露天博物馆保护区还保存着80余座乡土木构遗产，散布于北方湖区景观之中。
Set on Lake Onega in the Republic of Karelia, Kizhi Island is home to the Kizhi Pogost — a globally recognized masterpiece of traditional log and timber architecture inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990. The 18th-century ensemble is celebrated as the only surviving historical complex in Russia featuring two multi-domed wooden churches enclosed within a single precinct: the 22-domed Church of the Transfiguration (1714), rising 37 meters with structural log joinery executed entirely without nails, the nine-domed Church of the Intercession, and an octagonal wooden bell tower. Beyond the central Pogost, the surrounding open-air museum reserve preserves over 80 vernacular timber monuments scattered across the northern lake landscape.

The structure is located at the southernmost tip of Kizhi Island, in a remote part of the museum reserve. This vantage point offers an uncommon south-to-north perspective of the Kizhi Pogost ensemble: from here, the domes of the Church of the Transfiguration and the Church of the Intercession visually merge into a single sculptural volume. The panorama also takes in the historic monuments along the island road—an ancient windmill and the Chapel of the Archangel Michael.

ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT AND FORM
这一艺术装置被设计为一个带座椅的空间门户，作为框取基日教堂墓园全景的观景框。开口的内轮廓呼应了教堂穹顶极具辨识度的剪影，以当代建筑语言重新诠释历史建筑的雕塑性特征。作为一处设置于观景点的微型构筑物，它如同一个具有生命力的聚焦孔径，将周围景观纳入框景之中，使其转化为一幅自然形成的建筑构图，并为游客提供观看这些历史遗迹的独特视角。

The art object is designed as a spatial portal with a bench, serving as a viewing frame for panoramas of the Kizhi Pogost. The inner contour of the cut-out echoes the recognizable silhouette of church cupolas, interpreting the historic sculptural quality through a contemporary architectural language. Placed at a viewpoint, this micro-structure works as a living focal aperture: it frames the surrounding landscape, turning it into a natural architectural composition and offering visitors a unique perspective on the historical monuments.

材料表达与对LEMEKH的重新诠释
MATERIALITY AND REINTERPRETATION OF THE LEMEKH
这一装置的构造逻辑源自俄罗斯北方传统木制 lemekh——一种小型独立木瓦，历史上常用于覆盖教堂穹顶的曲面。这一原理被放大至“取景框”整体体量：在保留基本内部框架形态的同时，整个装置由富有节奏感的模块化木条构成，以此重新诠释传统 lemekh。具有浮雕感的表面形成丰富的光影变化与空间深度，并随着观看角度及光照条件的变化而不断改变。

The object’s tectonics are rooted in the traditional wooden lemekh of the Russian North — small individual shingles that historically covered the curved surfaces of church cupolas. This principle has been scaled to the entire volume of The Lens: while retaining its basic inner frame shape, the whole object is a rhythmic structure of modular wooden slats that reinterpret the traditional lemekh. The relief surface creates a play of light and shadow and a sense of depth that changes with the viewing angle and lighting conditions.

空间朝向
SPATIAL ORIENTATION
朝向是设计中的关键考量：装置由南向北设置，正对并框取基日教堂墓园。场地定位通过阴影进行了验证——在正午12:00时，装置投下的阴影恰好沿着指向教堂墓园的轴线延伸。
Orientation was a key consideration: the object faces from south to north and frames the Kizhi Pogost. The siting decision was verified by the shadow, which fell precisely along the axis toward the Pogost at exactly 12:00.
