英国伦敦的艺术家工作室London Fieldworks(Bruce Gilchrist & Jo Joelson)向我们分享了他们隐喻人类和动物之间栖息地相互作用关系的系列作品：自发城市。人类的扩张和无休止的城市化导致了野生动植物栖息地减少，多样性降低，很多物种甚至灭绝。“自发城市”出现在伦敦野外古老的林地中，以建筑城市的造型包裹在树干上，这些城市的造型参考了奢侈的宫殿群和倍具排他性的富豪社区。作品一边影射着现实一边为野生动物比如鸟儿提供栖息场所。

Spontaneous City is a series of interventions in London’s urban green spaces by artist duo London Fieldworks (Bruce Gilchrist & Jo Joelson), a metaphorical interplay between the condition of the animal and the human and their enfolded habitats. The artworks are open to occupation by wildlife and can be read as an allegory of population crash and dwindling biodiversity of birds and insects alongside global concerns about megacities and the peri-urban, fluid populations and porous borders. Spontaneous City has evolved from London Fieldworks’ previous project Super Kingdom–a series of animal ‘show homes’ as architectural interventions in an ancient woodland setting. Super Kingdom referenced despots’ palaces, gated community developments, ‘off worlds’ and the fortified exclusivity afforded to the wealthy and super-rich – all designed to keep urban reality at bay.
