Evelien Jaspers是一位非常有趣的艺术家。她希望探索照片的空间性，认为摄影这种媒介仅仅具有两个维度是很不够的，因此她把自己拍的照片都打印出来，进行一些干预，比如切割，折叠还有不同材料的组合，形成弯曲的或折叠的如同雕塑般的作品。图像的物理性质被改写，观众具有触摸和移动观看的欲望。今天介绍的系列就是她最近关注的热点—-自然。将大自然的动态捕捉在静止的照片中，最后经过转换，实现另一种生机勃勃。

My work is driven by the urge to explore the spatial value of the photograph. Although I am strongly drawn to photography as a medium, simultaneously I feel that two dimensions are not enough for me to express myself. This is why I see the printed photograph as the starting point from where I work. My pictures are subjected to various types of interventions, such as cutting, folding or the combination with different materials.

The aluminum and cardboard mounted prints in the series Space is made by thought are bent and folded into sculptural works. This way, I bring back the physical properties of the depicted image. It leaves the viewer with an urge to touch and move around the work.

I have a fascination for transition and flowing motion, this expresses itself in my most recent subject: nature. In my attempt to bring photography to life, I show the dynamics of nature, within the static frame of photography.
