I sunnfjord

The landscape of Norway was the inspiration for this chair. The prototype came into being within view of the mountains, water and trees in the light of the norwegian sun during a stipend from the Nordic Art center Dale i Sunnfjord. A backrest of solid wood beams, the major design feature, maintains central statical funktions as well.

Series45

Series 45 is a collection of three candlesticks made of ashwood. The striking precision of cut of the angles, aside from insurimg that the candlesticks can never tip over, is the language of form. With or without candles, they are sculptures on the table.

Metrisch

The collection Metrisch is a sequence of black-and-white drawings. Classical graphical forms are intersperced by fine hand drawn lines, thus creating an irregularity within the regularity. Delicate, repetitive motifs are set off bytheir bold and massive counterparts, creating an interplay of near and far, small and large, repetition and singularity.

Cirkel

The side tables CIRKEL play with materials, colours and proportions. Bright colored wood, interplays with white and black metal. Distinctive are the slim, lineal legs and the contrasting voluminous table top. The higher table can be opened and used for storage. The Tables have a puristic, silent but playful nature.

Petit Frère

Petit Frère
Petits Frères is a triumvirate of lamps, inspired by early machines and industrial architecture.
Each is individual in character and personality, while remaining a part of the family entity.
Aside from the difference in form and color, there is a diversification of switch mechanisms, each in accordance with the shape and function of the lamp.
The lamps can be seen as siblings, alike and at the same time very different.

Vases

VASES generates the associations of machinery and industrial architecture. The use of straight lines, shapes and sharp edges creates an industrial profile. This aesthetic renders them difficult to produce, testing the material clay to its limits. Although VASES can be reproduced as they are manufactured in (industrial) forms, they still are basically unique, formed, burned, polished and finished one by one, always different color marks, always individual. VASES is to act in the antagonism between industry design and handcraft production and to visualize a new synthesis: handcraft produced industrial forms and objects.
Vases are being produced by Karakter Copenhagen
