Appreciation towards Taka Shinomoto for providing the following description:

这间只有一个卧室的小公寓相当特别。设计师在不大的空间中采用了质感与色彩层层递进的材料，打造出鲜明却又微妙的空间。设计师告诉gooood，设计的灵感来自于Opera蛋糕，每层都不一样，甜蜜又治愈。

Typically finish materials are bound by the programmatic boundaries of a room, which makes a defined block of space. This could be compared to a brownie, it is a sweet treat that is the same all the way through. Taka Shinomoto and Voar Design Haus set out to make a space like an Opera cake: a sweet treat but with layers of different materials.

材料的层次感是贯穿整个套间的：不论客厅，厨房，卧室，还是壁橱以及浴室，都遵循着这一理念。

The program of the rooms is typical: living room, kitchen, bedroom,closet and bathroom. Layers of were superimposed on the apartment,regardless of program using color, finish and resolution to define the layers.

厨房和客厅的储藏间都采用了推拉门。厨房隐藏在整面推拉壁柜墙后面，格局上保持了开放的造型，但实际具有相当的封闭感。

Sliding door panels are used to cover both kitchen and living room storage.The kitchen area hides behind a flooring wall: The kitchen is open. Sorry, the kitchen is closed.

客厅里占据整面墙的推拉门储物柜明显的显示出棕色渐变梯度：巧克力色，咖啡色和奶油色。虽然天花板是全白，但也是用到光滑、哑光和重机理这三种质感有别的涂料。木地板同时也采用了宽度和颜色这两种手法进行区分，更甚的是，地板反光程度的不同也被考虑其中。

In the living room a gradient of brown clearly shows the chocolate ganache, coffee and buttercream layers. The ceiling is all white, but treated in glossy, matte and textured coatings. The wood floor uses both color and plank widths to define the layers. Even the quality of light changes in each layer.

减少木板宽度能增加空间的纵深感。通过设计手法让小空间层次鲜明，看起来比实际的面积大。

The decreasing wood plank widths exaggerate the depth of the space using the illusion of foreshortening. The layers capture several. expressions of light and fictional depth of space, causing a small apartment to feel much larger.

最小宽度的地板位于联系厨房与卧室的内阳台上。

An inner balcony leads to the bedroom from the kitchen area. The plank widths are smallest in this inside/outside layer.

天花和地板的分层系统也延续到了卧室。储物架后面藏有利用内走廊打造的步入式衣帽间。

The ceiling and floor treatments continue into the bedroom. Wood shelving is a thin sponge cake layer separating the bedroom from the walk-in closet, storage and hidden corridor that connects to the kitchen.
