出身于1991年，来自英国的年轻艺术家Simon nunn拍摄了这一系列植物照片。Simon nunn从2013年1月11日起，在中国进行他的5周旅行，到访的城市有香港，广东，上海，北京，西安。希望他的中国之行一切OK。

这组照片的创作灵感始于2010年，当时他希望为自己的风格找到新的出路，用新方式拍摄风景，用微妙的方式向观众传递信息。比如将平板扫描仪当成摄像机。把平板扫描仪从室内搬到室外，开始扫描外面的世界，这种方式给了Simon nunn很多启发，也促成了2012年的这组新创作Flatbed Roam的诞生。

The idea of Flatbed Roam came about in 2010 when I was trying to think of new ways to photograph a landscape. At that time I was being heavily influenced by Stephen Shore, Ed Rucsha and Lewis Baltz, photographing in a very typographical way; but I started to get almost bored with just photographing exactly what was in front of me so directly, I wanted to explore amore subtle approach at depicting a landscape, start to challenge the viewer more about what they were seeing.

Thats were the idea of using a scanner as a camera came about, I had the idea of taking a flatbed scanner out from its traditional place from indoors and take it outside, to make scans (photographs) of the outside world. I was now able to get close to my subject and distort the landscape around the frame, so now the viewer will have to think more about what kind of environment the image is from. This gave me the result of Flatbed Roam in 2012.

Flatbed Roam is just the beginning of my experiment of a new way of photographing a landscape, I’m currently building a new body of work using this methodology, which will be finished later this year, Prints and a book will be available too.
