The New Work Project, a private members workspace for the creative industries, opens August 1st in the former Vice Media building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Brooklyn based interior design studio The New Design Project (www.thenewdesignproject.com) is pleased to announced the opening of The New Work Project (www.thenewworkproject.com), a private members workspace for individuals and businesses in the creative industries. Located on 97 N 10th St in Williamsburg, in a former foundry that was most recently home to Vice Media, it will support freelancers, solopreneurs and teams from creative industries including: advertising, PR and marketing; architecture and design; TV, film and media; fashion and publishing.

The New Work Project is a design-led, service-oriented workspace that sits at the crossroads of hospitality and co-working, and is the latest venture by former bankers, and husband and wife team, James Davison and Fanny Abbes.

Members are able to work from lounge areas, assigned gallery desks or private studios, and have access to high workstations, break out areas and conference rooms. The interior design of the space pairs iconic pieces inspired by the designs of Pierre Jeanneret, Friso Kramer, Jaime Hayon and Resident Studio, with custom furniture by The New Design Project, and showcases collaboration with other local Brooklyn designers such as J.M. Szymanski (www.jmszymanski.com) and Eskayel (www.eskayel.com).

The New Work Project is located at the epicenter of Brooklyn’s creative hub, just off the fashionable Wythe Avenue corridor in north Williamsburg, an 8-minute walk from both the Bedford L and Nassau G subway stops, well served by taxis, buses and Citi Bikes, and surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants, hotels and other creative businesses.
