位于匈牙利东北部Pannonhalma的Ravazdi林场新建了一条树冠步道。作为现有自然步道系统的一部分，它将游客带离地面，以抬升的行走路径穿行于森林之中，让人们能够近距离观察树冠在不同高度上的生态层次。项目最初的出发点，是向公众展示森林在人类数千年生存环境中所扮演的角色，包括森林的形成、种植、生态效益及其未来发展，同时介绍在人类活动影响下形成的生物群落，以及植被的组成与结构。

The intention behind the construction of the foliage trail at Ravazdi Forestry in Pannonhalma in the North-East of Hungary is to provide the visiting public an elevated walkway to show the different levels of the forest canopy as a part of an existing nature trail. The initiating mission of the project is to present the role of forests in the millennia-old human environment, their formation, planting, benefits, and vision. The trail is also present to the biota, composition and structure of vegetation shaped by anthropogenic influences.

从项目之初，业主便明确提出：这里需要的不是一座向上攀登的观景塔，而是一条真正穿越森林不同高度的树冠步道。它从地面缓缓升起，并同时满足步行者与轮椅使用者的通行需求，让不同身体条件的人都能够进入树冠层，体验森林。

It was a fundamental decision by the client to expand the site with a canopy trail that would rise above the ground and cross the different levels of the forest –and not a tower – to be accessible both on foot and in wheelchair.

人类在这片森林中的活动最早可以追溯至罗马帝国时期，山丘上还坐落着拥有千年历史的圣本笃修道院。过去二十年间，Pannonhalma也陆续出现了一系列具有代表性的当代艺术与景观建筑作品。新步道在设计语言与原则上延续了这些既有项目，并将这种连续性进一步落实到建筑与自然环境、森林路径网络之间的关系中。

The human presence in the forest dates back to the age of the Roman Empire and the thousand-year-old St. Benedict Monastery is hosted by the hill. Over the last twenty years, Pannonhalma has also been the site of a series of exemplary works of contemporary art and landscape architecture. The language and design principles of these direct models are echoed in the planned trail. This spirit of continuity is also evident in the way the trail is integrated into the natural environment and the network of forest paths.

架空步道沿既有徒步路径的走向展开，充分利用场地地形，与原有游览路线直接衔接，从而避免形成需要折返的尽端路径。为了强化结构轻盈、仿佛漂浮于森林中的视觉感受，设计尽可能精简支撑体系：主体由56个定制预制的镀锌喷涂钢构件组成，通过9根立柱与两根张拉索共同支撑。

The new, elevated walkway follows the lines of the existing hiking trails, taking advantage of the topography, connecting directly to the established network of routes avoiding dead-ends. To enhance the floating ease of the construction the minimalised supporting frame is a custom-formed, prefabricated galvanised and painted steel structure of 56 segments, on 9 pillars and two tensile cables.

步道的行走面、扶手及立柱采用油饰白蜡木，在视觉与触感上保留木材自然温润的质感；栏杆填充则采用不锈钢网，在保证安全的同时维持通透视野。由此形成的水平观景路径，让不同程度行动能力的人都能够平等地抵达林间高处、眺望周围景观，也为Pannonhalma原有的轻徒步与休闲游憩体系增添了一种新的森林体验。

The walking surfaces and handrail and the posts are made of oil-finished ash for natural look and touch while the infills are of stainless-steel mesh for safe transparence. The horizontal lookout thus created will open the panorama to people at any level of independence in mobility, thus adding a new element to the wide range of light excursions, recreational opportunities in Pannonhalma.
