新建项目与改造项目不同的是要从零开始，也是一个地方特色的公共空间建筑从无到有的实践过程，基于一种不常见的方式，项目业主从一开始到项目落地对于建筑师都是非常支持的，不仅如此，当地政府管理部门、施工单位都是以极高要求为图纸变成现实达成最初设计构想提供了最有利的保证。即便如此，在设计与施工过程中，也依然充满了诸多困难和不确定性，需要各团队不断地磨合与认知去面对种种困难。

建筑主体结构由钢筋混凝土与钢结构框架组成，钢结构的建筑，有助于适应蒙自的气候，同时更有效率的利用阳光，预留通风空间等做法都是因地制宜，为了能够更好地提供舒适的教学空间，钢结构在形式上也体现了此学校的一些精神且极具创意。

2017年，迪卡设计团队受蒙自洪氏企业投资有限公司的邀请，参与蒙自海华伊顿教育发展有限公司投资的两所高端教育综合体的建筑设计，一所是被誉为“中国最美幼儿园”的棒棒糖理想园，还有另一所就是这座“纸飞机幼儿园”，每个项目都有其独特的项目自身背景，“纸飞机幼儿园”占地面积42亩，建筑面积20000余平方米。如今，“纸飞机幼儿园”这座建筑也正式投入使用，孩子们的进入也让这个幼儿园呈现出了不一样的姿态，在陆地上，一架纸飞机正式起航，关于“中国最美幼儿园”的故事又再一次延续，建筑也具备了新的符号意义。

以“纸飞机”作为原型生成的建筑主体，造型形神兼备，独树一帜，交融之处,一砖一瓦，皆为艺术，在大同中求小异，打破了那种令人生厌的复制感，它的色彩和造型，构造出来的”纸飞机”是独一无二的，也给周围的环境赋予了不同的特色，但同时又与这座城市相互融合、浑然一体。
