Most of people lives in cities, experiencing architecture spaces everyday. Design is closely related to everyone, and listening to people from other industries also enables us to expand our understanding about design, architecture, urban environment and the whole world.

我们处在一个消费的时代,我们的生活中伴随着各式各样的购物场所。从过去的集市、百货大楼到现在造型各异的综合购物中心,购物场所的存在价值已不再局限于陈列商品让人购买。商场里的业态越来越丰富,餐厅和影院已经成为了标配,儿童教育、生活方式等体验类店铺更是花样层出。还有一部分购物场所采用低层街区形式,将传统文化和现代商业融合在一起,提供了一种更加轻松悠闲的购物体验。三里屯是北京最具代表性的购物场所之一,富有现代感的建筑设计,适宜的购物街区尺度以及丰富的业态使这里成为了喜欢追赶潮流的年轻人的聚集地。我们在三里屯采访了几位游客,请他们分享自己对于购物场所的看法,试图探求未来更符合百姓需求的购物场所的可能形态。

We are in a consumption era. We are living among various kinds of shopping space. From the street market and department store to the eye-catching shopping malls, selling things is no longer the only purpose for shopping space. F&B and cinema have become the standard features of a shopping mall. There are also various lifestyle facilities developed, introducing new things to our daily life. Other shopping spaces are like a traditional street with modern programs, where people could shopping in a relax and easy mood. San Li Tun is one of the most famous shopping spaces in Beijing. The modern appearance, comfortable scale and colorful formats made it a gathering place for young people who are sensitive to the fashion trend. Some visitors in San Li Tun shared their opinions on shopping space in the interview. In their answers, we are trying to find out a possible image of future shopping space, which could be more attractive to common people.

采访中我们发现,尽管大家喜欢某个购物场所的原因不尽相同,但是店铺种类越齐全、业态越丰富的商区对人们的吸引力越大,如北京的荟聚,三里屯,西单大悦城等。在商场是否应该有特定主题或面对特定人群的问题上,几乎所有人都认为商场应该设置主题以增强吸引力。综合的购物中心和低密度的购物街在大家的心中各有利弊,平分秋色。关于对未来的购物场所有何期望,有人建议多设置一些文化设施,有人希望商场中可以有宠物活动的空间,还有人提议增强设备和顾客之间的互动,创造更加不一样的购物体验。

According to the interview, though people have different reasons to choose their favorite shopping space, the more programs the space have, the more attractive it is to the customers. Thus in Beijing, Livat, San Li Tun and Xidan Joycity are the most popular shopping spaces. Some people like huge shopping mall with everything in one building, others prefer low density shopping street. The two kinds of shopping spaces each has its own advantage that could meet different needs of different people. When talking about shopping spaces in the future, some people suggested that there should be more cultural facilities and space for pets. Enhancing the interaction between shopping space and customers could also be a way to create distinctive shopping experience.
