Studio Et al. is an architectural practice founded by Mats Heggernæs and Håkon Vetlesen in 2022.

Based in Oslo, we develop and build projects across Norway and abroad. Our work embraces all scales, from housing and urban plans to exhibitions and objects.

The studio has earned a reputation through several widely recognised projects. We are dedicated to the act of building, with a focus on creating architecture that works well for the people who use it and that stands the test of time.

Much of our work involves transforming existing buildings, seeking to reveal new possibilities within what is already there.

In 2024, Studio Et al. was awarded the Trondheim Building Award for Livid Trondheim, the city’s most prestigious architecture prize.
