ESPECIE is an architecture studio and research office founded and co-directed by Joaquín García Vicente and Tatiana Poggi, based in Murcia, with projects located throughout Spain and internationally. Their work combines architectural practice, research, and teaching, exploring how architecture can produce more egalitarian, free, resilient, and ecological spaces, from a perspective that expands architecture beyond the strictly human. Their scope of work ranges from large-scale residential developments and urban planning to single-family homes and carefully designed interior renovations. Their projects use spatial transformation, experimentation, and the relationship with landscape and ecosystems as tools for imagining other ways of inhabiting.
