The studio was founded by Matúš Bišťan. Since 2022, he has been working together with Jakub Števanka in Modra, in the former Majolika factory complex. Recently, they have been focusing on a series of public commissions—specifically, library interiors. One of their more notable projects is the Department of Specialized Literature at the City Library in Senec. The project was awarded the CE ZA AR Prize in 2020 and was exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale as part of the Young European Architects event.
Last year, they completed a branch of the Old Town Library on Záhrebská Street in Bratislava, and in collaboration with the DOXA studio, the interior of the P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov—this project has been nominated for the CE ZA AR Prize 2025.
