(北京)Foster + Partners – Architect / Architectural Assistant

Foster + Partners is an international studio for architecture, planning, engineering and design,
established in 1967. Although design work tends to be focused in London, our Riverside studio is just one of a network of offices that spans six continents and virtually every time zone, with a team of more than 1,500 worldwide. The practice reflects this rich mix of cultural connections; the team is cosmopolitan and together we speak some seventy five languages.

To undertake some of the largest and most complex projects in the world needs depth of resources. However, creativity and personal service are best nurtured by the compact group. The resolution of these ideals is mirrored in the practice’s structure, which comprises six designstudios and two structural and environmental engineering groups, each led by a senior partner. By working together from the start of any new project, architects and engineers can combine their knowledge to deliver integrated design solutions and a more sustainable builtenvironment.

The design studios are supported by a wide range of specialist teams. These include: model makers; 3D computer modelling; graphics and visualisation; project and contract management; urban planning; industrial and interior design; workplace consultancy; constructionreview; and an information centre and materials research library.

Since the 1970s, we have pioneered a sustainable approach to design, through work that spans the spectrum from masterplans to furniture. Today we have a sustainability forum that promotes the use of sustainable technologies and methods. It is a key part of the practice’s research and development capability and ensures that environmental awareness is an integral part of our culture as we anticipate the challenges of the future.
