项目坐落于匈牙利一个名为“Zamárdi”的小村庄，村庄位于中欧最大的湖泊——巴拉顿湖湖畔，共有人口2000人。作为当地社区建设工程之一，本项目由当地政府出资，Studio A4事务所设计建造，The ZAM! 多功能活动中心落成后，将全年向公众开放。

Zamárdi is a village in Hungary Europe with a population of 2000 on the shore of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. The building is invested by the local government and built for the local community and will be open to the public all year round.

自20世纪50年代以来，巴拉顿地区(Balaton)逐渐成为当地建筑创新与实践领域的圣地，选材新颖、形式与功能独特的建筑项目层出不穷，比如港口设施与餐厅等。ZAM多功能活动中心也延续了这一传统。建筑底层的金属泡泡灵感源自于斯基泰时代(约公元6世纪)墓地附近发现的罐子、装饰物、耳环等金属工艺品。此外，这些斯基安时代的文物还将在活动中心花园中向公众展出。

Since the 1950s, the Balaton area has been a field of architectural innovations and experiments (port facilities, restaurants, etc.) in material use, form and function. This tradition is continued by THE ZAM. It refers with its bubble-shaped mass and metal casing to metal artifacts (pots, trappings, earrings) found near the site in a significant 6th-century (Scythian–age) cemetery. The Scythian–age objects will be showcased in the garden.

在暑假期间，The ZAM! 既是展厅也是自助餐厅。项目仅有一个楼层，在底层与屋顶均设有露台，在屋顶露台上，人们可以看到海滩和附近的网球场，在享受美食的同时尽赏周边宜人的自然风光。

In the summer vacation season, it works as an exhibition hall as well as a buffet with its terraces on the ground and first floor. There is a pleasant view from the roof-top terrace of the single-story building of Lake Balaton, the beach and nearby tennis courts.

在除了夏季之外的淡季中，室内空调设施始终保持开放，当地社区组织与居民都可以自由使用。The ZAM! 活动中心具有多重功能，可以作为会议室、小型场馆、展览以及音乐会的场地使用。

Throughout off season (spring, autumn and winter) the heated and cooled facility is open the local community can use. It accommodates meetings, smaller venues, as well as concerts, exhibitions.
