Before designing a building, we place great importance on carefully reading the site. Where does the light enter and where does it exit? What kind of landscape extends beyond the windows, and what kinds of time flow there? Observing the surrounding environment and climate, and the aspirations of the people who live there, identifying the unique attractions and potentials of that land is the starting point of our design.
Architecture is often regarded as place-making, but we believe that what we design are not objects but the time that flows there and the events that are born. The building plays a supporting role, and at its center are people.
