The UIA 2026 Barcelona World Congress of Architects is called by the International Union of Architects (UIA) and organized by the Higher Council of Architects’ Associations of Spain (CSCAE), UIA member section, in collaboration with the Architects’ Association of Catalonia (COAC) in Barcelona. It also has the support of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda of Spain, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona City Council, which have recognized it as an event of exceptional public interest alongside the 2026 World Capital of Architecture. In addition to providing institutional support, the administrations jointly fund the holding of this Congress.
