Sampling is a Belgian-Latvian interdisciplinary and conceptual architecture and design practice based in Ghent and Riga. It is led by Liene Jākobsone (LV) and Manten Devriendt (BE), who founded the practice in 2010. Sampling has carried out a wide range of projects: buildings and reconstructions of various kinds, development concepts for large areas, as well as exhibition and product design. Their projects have been widely published and have received a number of awards, prizes and other forms of recognition. Both partners are also active in international academia, giving lectures, running creative workshops, conducting research and publishing.
