The studio focuses on designing for craft and industrial production for clients, as well as Pia's own brand, Utopia & utility.
Believing in the natural laws whereby organisms are shaped by their environment and evolution is nurtured through change, Pia's approach to design is an antithesis to the industrial , off the belt , mass manufacturing . In a world dominated by commerce and a fast, anonymous existence shaped by intention rather then nature, Pia seeks to design objects that break this pattern. Inspired by nature, the makers life and the pursuit of imperfection and uniqueness in its most harmonious state, her work evolves in solidarity with European crafts and small scale production.
