Emma and Darcy met and studied at the University of British Columbia’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where they received their Master of Architecture degrees. Combined, Emma and Darcy have nearly 20 years of training and experience having worked as senior designers at some of Vancouver’s leading architecture practices.
After a trip to the NYC Deli, Russ & Daughters, the concept for Emma and Darcy’s own design studio was born. &Daughters references an established, formal archetype, but approached from a modern perspective. &Daughters speaks to a point of view that is both traditional and contemporary, about achieving a balance between hard and soft in all design problems. Founded in 2017, &Daughters is a multi-disciplinary design studio focusing on custom commercial and residential projects.
