B2A was founded in 2018 by Etienne Barre and Pierre-Alain Bouchetard. Engineer-architects, their work isbased on the shared belief that structural system design is intrinsically linked to the formulation of thearchitectural project. The practical application of certain proven fundamentals has allowed them to build anagency culture focused on precise design and attention to construction detail, contributing to the unique character of each building.
In a constant iterative process between sensitivity and rationality, between situated experience andsystem, each project is a site of investigation into the potential of the structural scheme and theconstruction method. These areas of reflection continue in teaching and community involvement.
