Evgeny Makarenko is an architect and the founder of Timber Architecture Studio. For over fifteen years, his practice has focused on wood as the primary building material, shaping everything from art installations and landscape elements to residential and hospitality complexes. The overarching objective remains the creation of a healthy, ecologically sound environment that supports physical and psychological well-being.
A robust academic background underpins this expertise. Makarenko graduated with honors from Altai State Technical University, earned a master's degree in architecture and urbanism from MARCH (London Metropolitan University), and became a finalist in the "Architects.rf" presidential program (2019–2020).
